Nahant
Nahant is a small residential area consisting of 1 square mile and is the smallest municipality by area in Massachusetts and has a small population of approximately 3,000. The town is set on a peninsula consisting of two near islands known as “Little Nahant” and “Nahant” and is connected to the mainland by a causeway.
Nahant being so small only has an elementary school for children preschool through sixth grade. For middle and high schools, kids attend nearby Swampscott schools.
This charming town has many beaches along its coast with the largest being Nahant Beach. This sprawling beach with plenty of parking is perfect for kite flying. Besides the beach, people can enjoy golf on either of two golf courses. Nahant homes come in all different sizes from summer cottages to oceanfront estates, and nearly all afford easy access and sometimes views of the water.
